Deep Fakes | No one will save you.

Hello my dear Conlanger! I hope your week is going great!
Remember that life is about ups and downs, forwards and backwards, that’s the only way we can appreciate what we have.

Give honest and sincere appreciation
Continuing with the reading of How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie this week we read /red/ the second chapter or principle 2 which states “Give honest and sincere appreciation”
Dale mentions that every single one of us have a deepest urge which is “the desire to be important” to put it simply instead of the Freudian motives that are sex urge and the desire to be great, they simplify it with the desire to be important..
He mentions an incredible phrase that says “If you tell me how you get your feeling of importance, I’ll tell you what you are. That determines /determins/ your character.”
He even mentions that some authorities declare that people may actually go insane in order to find, in the dreamland of instanity, the feeling of importance that has been denied them in the harsh world of reality. Damn that’s heavy. This actually makes you think that before criticizing someone, as we discussed last edition, we should be able to process and analyze all of these factors that play a role on someone’s actions not just mere rejection for the difference with us.
Charles Schwab said it “the way to develop the best that is in a person is by appreciation and encouragment” and this is not that common as we may think or assume. How many times at work have someone praised you for your good work versus how may times have they scold you or pointed the wrong you did? Think about this next time, specially if you work with a team and you lead them, make sure you understand the importance of appreciation.
Finally, Dale states the importance of differentiating between appreciation and flattery, he puts it simple, One is sincere and the other is insincere. One comes from the heart out; the other from the teeth out. One is unselfish; the other selfish. One is universally admired; the other universally condemned.
Y algo que me gustó mucho de este capítulo es que menciona una frase del General Mexicano Alvaro Obregon that says “Don’t be afraid of enemies who attack you. Be afraid of the friends who flatter you.”
To close this second principle I want to leave with this last paragraph from the book that says “In our interpersonal relations we should never forget that all our associates are human beings and hunger for appreciation. It is the legal tender that all souls enjoy.”
Let me know your thoughts!

Qué es un homograph son esas palabras que se deletrean igual pero que al usarlas de diferente manera en un enunciado tienen un significado diferente.
Por ejemplo:

Live (verb) /lif/ - vivirI used to live in Mexico city.

Object (noun) /óbject/- A thing that can be seen or touched; a goal or purpose.
Object (verb) /objéct/ - To express or feel disapproval or disagreement. The object on the table is a sculpture.

The purpose of showing you this is not to remember by hard the words and so but rather question yourself next time you face a word that you don’t know or is new to you. Ask yourself, is the word “something” or are they using it as an “action”?
